bryan blog, day 11

June 18, day 11

Our class got off to a late start today, the teacher that had the room key arrived around 30 min late.  She said elephants surrounded her house & she was afraid to come out.  That's definitely an excuse I won't hear for a long time, haha.  We taught sessions 4-6 today to both classes, it made for a long day but we got through it.  8 students out of around 60 said they committed their lives to Jesus for the 1st time today.  All the other students said they already committed their lives to Jesus.  Pastor Cyprian has a great opportunity to come alongside those students & help disciple them.  I believe the desire to truly disciple these students will be a blessing for them, the local church & for the community.  After the class was over Glynn was able to pray over 1 student, then Glynn, Julie & I all prayed over another student.  Those are great moments & it's special that we're able to be a part of it.
When we arrived back @ the rest lodge there were around 10 monkees chilling in front of our cabins.  Great moment as we were in the car Julie was trying to take a picture of 1 monkee, the monkee stopped & started picking his butt.  Glynn, Pastor Vu & Julie were laughing so hard.  Judy & I couldn't see it but luckily Judy was able to take a picture of it with my cell phone.
We had dinner @ the Makasa/Kingdom casino.  I wanted to buy a $1 chip to add to my collection but the cashier said I had to go to the table.  So I sit down & then the dealer said I can't buy a chip from him.  Long story short, I couldn't buy a chip so I played blackjack for 5 min, was up $20 & left, haha. I didn't even want to gamble, I just wanted a $1 chip.
Terrible wifi access so I wasn't able to talk with the family. I miss them & love them. I'll see them soon!
