Days 1-3, Zimbabwe-Bryan Watanabe

Day 1-3

Days 1 & 2 were really just us sitting in an airplane & a little bit of sightseeing. :)
After around 22 hrs of flying we finally arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe! We left LAX on Thursday, the 17th @ 8:30pm & arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on Saturday, the 19th @ 12pm.
Let's backtrack for a bit before I move on.
Mitch & I had over a 5hr layover in New York so we took a tram & subway to Times Square. We met a nice lady & her grandson, she helped us figure out what subways to take. It was my 1st time there, we had a good time walking around & taking pics. On our way back to the airport we took the wrong subway but made it to the airport on time, haha.
At JFK, we met up with 3 other team members, Melissa, Rhonda & Curtis for our long flight to Johannesburg which is around 14-15hrs.
We landed & met up with another 3 team members, Glynn, Kevin & Bianca. From there we flew to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Our friend Jeff Scorziell picked us up from the airport to take us back to his home. Had a couple hours to shower and relax. Mitch, Kevin & I threw the frisbee around while playing with the dog.
We headed over to The Sandra Jones Center to meet a lot of wonderful children & young females that live there. It was real amazing to see all the wonderful things going on there. They have a self sustaining farm with rabbits, chickens, sheep, fish and a lot of fresh vegetables so the children have plenty of food to eat. Tammy Scorziell does a lot of hard work there and everything is really blessing the lives of the children.
Had a great time taking pics, videos, playing frisbee & meeting so many nice children. We had dinner there, some of the teenage girls sang songs for everyone & we finished the evening with yummy dessert. Headed back to home & went to bed!
