Day 4, Zimbabwe-Bryan Watanabe

Day 4

Super busy day but fun!
Woke up @ 7:30am, had breakfast @ 8am. Immediately after breakfast, Tammy, Kevin, Jake (friend of the Scorziell's) & I headed over to their other farm to get some eggs. Nice little farm & we had a chance to feed the free-range chickens and learn about the farm. Hopefully some of us can go back again this week.
After that we headed over to Bulawayo Baptist Church to hear Jeff Scorziell give his sermon. Before church started, Kevin, Jake & I helped set up the room for the kids. Then we had some fun playing frisbee & cricket with them. It was cool to see my friend Sharkey & his wife again @ church. Saw them & their son last year but I actually met Sharkey 3 yrs ago when he traveled to California. Looking forward to being able to see him later this week.
After church, our team along with Jeff & Jake headed up to Hwange Game Reserve. Took around 3 hrs so I had a nice nap, haha!
We arrived to the game reserve & didn't waste much time before going in to see some animals. We only drove around the park for 1.5 hrs but we saw an elephant, sable, zebras, baboons, kudus. Half the team took a jeep and saw hippos, giraffes, elephants & zebras.
Had a nice relaxing dinner with everyone as we discussed our plans for tomorrow & the rest of the week as we'll split up to teach The Smart Choices program in Victoria Falls & Bulawayo. It's really dark so we have an awesome view of all the stars! We could easily see the Milky Way, Southern Cross (can't see in the US) & Scorpio.
Before going to bed Mitch & I walked around the camp and found some cool bones to play a small prank with and talked with a game reserve guard on duty. The guard said lions, elephants & some other big animals will walk around the campsite at night so Mitch & I decided to go back to our cottage. :)
Time for bed as we have another long but fun day planned for tomorrow.
