August 12 The Flight out

Mission trip 2010

Here it is the early hours and Thurday morning and we will be leaving for the Airport soon. The California team needs to be at the airport by 4:00am. We will be in the travel mode for about thirty four hours and we will reach our final destination at midnight on Friday night. Remember when you figuring out the time of day where we are, we will be nine hours ahead of Pacific time.

The California team is: Mike, John, Glynn, Jeff in the picture will not be with us, Next is Tammy, then Mark. In the front is Myra and Kelsey.

We will meet up with the team from Prescott Arizona this afternoon.

The Arizona team is: Sam, Mark, Phoebe, Bill, Jessica, Zack and not in the picture is Colby. Unfortunately Jessica is not going to be with us on the trip. We will board the flight to Johannesburg at about 5:00pm and leave at 5:40pm eastern. This is the long leg of the journey from Washington to Johannesburg. This is about an seventeen hour flight with an refueling stop in Dekar, Senegal right on the south-western edge of the bulge of Africa.
